REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
_A request for information (RFI) is a formal way of requesting information of various kinds from different suppliers. Most likely with the aim for future deliveries of products or services. The RFI is a document containing a description on why the information is requested and a specification to what information that actually is requested. The RFI is mainly used if there exists a need to involve a supplier in a project or there is a need to scan the market for other and better potential suppliers.
Due to the large amounts of anticipated RFI's the DGA would like to request that for any RFI, the applicant uses the following RFI template:
Applicant (intended for which nation)
Confidentiality (press release allowed or not)
Introduction and purpose of the RFI (why do you want the information)
Background description of what is requested
• Which type of equipment or service is desired?
• Amount of equipment or service required;
• Statement of need (why needed);
Conditions which will be terms for future RFPs
