DAHER-SOCATA
Socata TBM
The TBM 850
is a six-seat, very fast business turboprop with a maximum range of
approximately 1,500 nautical miles (2,700 km). Overall, the new TBM family
member offers flight performance of light jets with lower operating and
maintenance costs of turboprop aircraft and excellent short field performance.
The TBM 850 features an all-glass flight deck based on Garmin G1000 system integrating primary flight, navigation, weather, traffic, ground proximity and technical information on the aircraft, fully associated with a digital autopilot. Advanced avionics reduce pilot workload and eases maintenance. The airplane is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66D turboprop developing a power output of 850-shp. The engine drives a four-blade Hartzell propeller which allows a maximum cruising speed of 320 knots (593 kph) at flight level 260 (in ISA conditions).
